The QSFP28 optical transceiver module from Cisco QSFP-100G-ER4L-S is designed to achieve 100GBASE Ethernet throughput of up to 40km using single-mode fiber (SMF) at 1310nm wavelength via duplex LC connectors. The 100 Gb Ethernet signal is transmitted over four wavelengths.
Four wavelength multiplexing and demultiplexing are managed within the device. BOX+FPC+PCBA standalone design provides excellent reliability, air tightness and heat dissipation performance. The transceiver complies with IEEE 802.3ba standard. Digital diagnostics are also available via the I2C interface specified by the QSFP28 MSA.
