HPE 720190-B21 40G QSFP+ LR4 Transceiver module (1310nm SMF 10km LC DDM)
The 40G QSFP+ LR4 is a transceiver module designed for 10km optical communication applications. The design conforms to 40GBASE-LR4 of IEEE P802.3ba standard. The module converts four input channels (ch) of 10Gb/s electrical data into four CWDM optical signals and multiplexes them into a single channel for 40Gb/s optical transmission.
Instead, on the receiver side, the module photodemultiplexes the 40Gb/s input into a 4CWDM channel signal and converts it into a 4-channel output electrical data.
