HUAWEI QSFP-DD-400G-SR8 (02312NPG) Huawei QSFP-DD (Four-channel Small swappable - Dual density) transceiver designed to operate on multi-mode fiber optic (MMF) cables. On the transmission side, the module converts eight 50G PAM4 (pulse amplitude modulation) electrical input channels (53.125Gbps each) into eight independent PAM4 optical signals with a baud rate of 53.125Gbps.
The module has a minimum guaranteed optical budget of 1.9 dB, which in most cases is sufficient to reach a distance of 5 m through OM100 multi-mode fiber. However, distance is only an indicative parameter for identifying comfort, which is calculated by taking into account the smallest optical budget in industry and the average attenuation of optical wiring. The compatible QSFP-DD-400G-SR8 (02312NPG) uses a top-quality VCSEL (vertical cavity surface emitting Laser) (850 nm) transmitter and a 400Gb/s PIN photodiode receiver.
